Heavenly Father, in these trying times when the spirit of the age threatens Christian values, give our bishop holiness of life and wisdom to direct and guide our diocese so that we may grow in your love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Let us pray for Francis, our Pope.

Thank you, Father, for posting your homily. I listen to it on my iPod.
They are welcome in these very difficult times for the US and the world as a whole. After daily news of: debacle in Wall Street, unemployment, foreclosures, family alienation, public cases of fraud, companies that fall into immoral practices (e.g., the peanut butter manufacturer who killed children by knowingly selling contaminated product), I wonder sometimes what is left of Christian values among us humans.
