Well, I have decided to try something new. I am not sure I am sold on the idea, but I thought I would give posting audio homiles a try. I am borrowing a recorder and playing around with it and trying to figure out the best way to add the audio to my blog. So below is my first trial run of a daily homily. Don't expect much, but do let me know if you like this idea or not, or if you have suggestions on recorders, ways to post the audio on my blog, etc...

Heavenly Father, in these trying times when the spirit of the age threatens Christian values, give our bishop holiness of life and wisdom to direct and guide our diocese so that we may grow in your love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Let us pray for Francis, our Pope.

This is a good idea. I have another suggestion for you: you should think about posting your recordings in a podcast (it is free) in iTunes (the place were everybody that has an iPod can download and listen later on their iPod).
A successful Catholic "podcaster" is Fr.Finelli (better known as iPadre!). See his website at: http://www.ipadre.net/. You may find this interesting as a sample of how it can be done.

The order of Franciscan monks in Chicago also has a podcast of their homilies, I have downloaded them in my iPod and listen to them in the mornings in my way to work.
I also listen in the morning (during commuting time) to another good podcast, "the liturgy of the hours" that is produced as a daily "morning prayer" podcast by lay people.
I would appreciate a good Catechism podcast, but there is only one out there and it is not explained by a Catholic priest.
Fr. Christensen: as a returning Catholic to the Catholic church, I can tell you that we need more of this in the "virtual world" of podcasting and the internet. More of the "good stuff" to nullify all the bad things that are getting around.
Perhaps the Devil is on the internet, but God is sending some of his Angels to save some souls there too.
Thanks for the input. I would love to turn this into a podcast but there are two overarching problems: I do not have a server on which to store the audio files and the recorder I have only puts out WAV files. Now it is do-able to work with only WAV files, but it takes a fair amount of work to convert them into MP3 files, which is what itunes and other such applications use. I can also use a public server such as googlepages but they have a limit on the size of the files.
So, we will see what happens.
